Gastropub Begins Renovations at Marina Marketplace

The Yard House, a gastropub restaurant, started renovations on its new location that will soon open in the Marina Marketplace.

Marina Marketplace, located at 13450 Maxella Ave., has been undergoing a $25 million renovation, and recently saw the addition of several new businesses, including the new AMC dine-in theatre is that opened in the November 2012.

The 11,000-square-foot Marina del Rey location will feature native foliage, and designers said they are incorporating a casual beach lifestyle motif with some upscale touches into their plans.

The first Yard House opened along the Long Beach waterfront in 1996, and since then, the restaurant has opened in dozens of states. It typically features a center island bars and as much as 5,000 gallons of beer, with three to five miles of beer lines.
