Sheriff's Deputy from Marina del Rey Station Arrested for Alleged Lewd Acts Upon Child
A 33-year-old sheriff's deputy assigned to the Marina del Rey station is arrested for investigation of lewd acts upon a child. He is the second deputy from the same station to be arrested on child molestation charges in the past four months.
A 33-year-old Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputy assigned to the sheriff's Marina del Rey station was arrested Thursday for investigation of lewd acts upon a child, officials said.
Oscar Rodriguez, a Los Angeles resident and 10-year veteran of the department, was arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department, the sheriff's department said in a statement. The alleged acts were committed while Rodriguez was off-duty.
Bail for Rodriguez was set at $100,000.
The LAPD advised and has been in contact with the sheriff's department, which will conduct a separate internal investigation, the statement said.
Rodriguez was immediately relieved of duty by the sheriff's department pending the outcome of both the criminal and administrative investigations.
Rodriguez is the second sheriff's deputy assigned to the Marina del Rey sheriff's station to be charged with sex crimes involving children in the past four months.
Kenneth Alexander, 45, was charged in October with three felony counts of child molestation for crimes allegedly committed after he met a 15-year-old girl while on duty. Alexander, who is free on $115,000 bail, pleaded not guilty in November and has a March 16 preliminary hearing scheduled at the Airport Courthouse.

Please investigate all prior complaints of conduct unbecoming of a human.....for both these monsters/rapists. . . Remember, YOU, the public 'we'- are paying for their abuses....we pay their salaries, buy them cars and motorcycles and guns and sweet benefits.....
Who doesn't love a good looking abuser in blue? Me, that's who.....call and voice your concerns to Leroy, the man.
Lee Baca....call me back please, I would like you to investigate the 6 LAPD officers who broke my neck in 1991. LAPD IA did not handle the investigation to my satisfaction. My abusers are still on their payroll....but I am still alive. You should help a survivor.

That's right Leroy's whole department is collapsing about him as he still clings to power in a job that he appears to be incompetent to do, and long after his prime. We seem to be paying for perverts, drunks and nere do well abusers in uniform. LA jail it seems went to pot while Leroy was playing cop. In november 2011 Leroy's Sheriff's Dept. re-opened the Natalie Wood case. There were hopes for the truth and some justice for a good actress, a special human being, a mother and a daughter. If a pet had been abandoned to drown the SPCA would have complained. But the Sheriff insulted our collective intelligence by proclaiming yet again that this was "a tragic accident". But perhaps Leroy was awarded something which resembles a certain someone whose grandfather made a generous donation to him. Now 30 years later Leroy's dept. thrashes our hopes for final justice with the same and feeble platitude. "Tragic accident". In my opinion Leroy and his dept. are a poor excuse for the price that we pay them!!

Not only what is happening in this world, but why do these men think they can get away with molesting children. From law enforcement to teacher, the people that we encourage to trust. I

It's not just teachers and cops, it's everywhere and it could be anyone. Punishment for child molesters or abusers of all types are not harsh enough! It should be made a life sentencing crime. These are predators that destroy our children's innocence and scar them for life. They should not be able to walk the streets again.!!

Can anyone suggest a solution for keeping the monsters from getting into positions of authority to begin with? Law enforcement applicants are allegedly given "personality assessments" to assure they are not sociopaths (but not pedophiles!). How do you stop a pedophile from getting access to kids if they have NO CRIMINAL RECORD OF BEING IN APPROPRIATE WITH THEM?
