Women Making Moves (&amp; Money) In Real Estate. Both men and women invest
in real estate. But honesty, women have certain “challenges” that men just don’t have to think
about. (Men, you may have no clue what we’re referring to, but women know
exactly.) So please join us at the Los Angeles County Real Estate Investors
Association monthly meeting, Thursday night, May 9, 2024, 6:30 to 9:30 pm,
where you will learn how to confront these challenges and become a successful
real estate investor.

This month we have a unique panel of four women who are kicking butt in Real
Estate? These women have been in the trenches, confronted and conquered
challenges, and know how to swing a hammer (though they’ve learned they don’t
have to). And that’s what they will share with you. Their stories are as
different as their personalities, but they all share two things in common: They
are successful at what they do and they earn a good living doing it!

estate. (Men; you can attend too, but at your own risk.) During this

Our moderator will be the incomparable Deborah Razo, President of the Women’s
Real Estate Network (“WREN”). Deborah specializes in fixing and flipping
houses, residential construction, and multi-residential properties in the U.S.
and Puerto Rico. The panel will also feature Cindy Coleman discussing note
investing, Angela Sillmon discussing short-term rentals, and Jen Maldonado
discussing raising capital for your projects. All of these successful ladies
are members of WREN, a group formed by women investors, for women and about
women. 
 
Vendor Expo. Don't miss our "Vendor Expo," 6:30 to 7:30 pm (right
before our general meeting). We'll have over 30 vendors with opportunities for
you to "meet and greet" real estate professionals offering products
and services you'll want to utilize in your real estate investing.

and National. From either lot it’s short two blocks walk to the Iman.

The Marina Del Rey Anglers (MDRA) is thrilled to announce the
return of the much-anticipated 49th Annual MDR Halibut Derby, set
to cast off on June 1st and 2nd, 2024. This year’s event promises to bring back
the glory days of the fishing community with a weekend full of fishing, fun,
and philanthropy in the beautiful Santa Monica Bay.
Under the enthusiastic leadership of new club
president Myles Blatt, the Halibut Derby is
poised to make a splash with more sponsors, exciting Calcutta categories, and a
focus on the biggest catch. “We’re bringing the community together to celebrate
our love for fishing and to support a great cause,” says Blatt. “It’s not just
about the competition; it’s about making a difference.”
The Halibut Derby’s long legacy of awarding life-changing
experiences continues, with this year’s top prizes including multi-day
sportfishing trips out to battle the giant bluefin tuna off the Southern California
coast. These prizes reflect the Derby’s commitment to adventure, conservation,
and the spirit of angling.
Proceeds from the event will support MDRA’s
ongoing efforts to enrich the lives of children and veterans through fishing
excursions and to contribute to conservation work, including the nurturing of
baby white seabass. The club also extends a warm invitation to new fishermen to
join in the Derby and other exciting fishing trips throughout the season.
The festivities kick off with the Captain’s
Party and Calcutta event on May 31st at the Del Rey Yacht Club, where
participants can gather their goodie bags and enter various side jackpots.
