Cruiser is an 80lbs Am Staff and Lab mix in his best years. He's quite the looker and has sparked some interest but hasn't found his right family yet.
We need a foster
Cruiser can only stay at his current crate-free boarding place until mid-June. We are frantically trying to find him a foster home because going back to crated boarding would not be good for him at all.
Can you please help us find a foster home or boarding that can provide a quiet environment?
Foster support
Cruiser's foster would be heavily supported by the Forte Animal Rescue volunteer network. All foster costs are covered. Dog walkers are available to help. Ongoing training support is provided.
Cruiser's personality
Cruiser is a great dog, he just needs a strong, knowledgable, responsible and disciplined handler. Even though he's a big strong dog, he doesn't need a lot of space - he would be fine in an apartment, with 2-3 short walks a day; they don't need to be hikes but he would enjoy them equally. He's housetrained, listens to commands, loves riding in the car, plays with toys but not obsessively, is very alert to everything that's going on around him and he's very protective. He does not know how to socialize with other dogs and is not too keen on cats - so Cruiser needs to be the only pet in the house.
