Learn GPS Navigation

The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Floatilla of Santa Monica Bay will be offering a two-night GPS course on Oct. 2 from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the California Yacht Club, located at 4469 Admiralty Way.

Participants with their own GPS handheld units can bring them to class for a hands-on lesson. Those without or with permanently installed equipment will learn about available GPS technology, interconnecting options and practical applications for recreational boating. 

Course fees are $40.00 per person or $50.00 per couple, if paid in advance. Both options include one textbook and one set of course materials. This class is expected to fill quickly, so reserve your spot today. See website at www.uscga1242.org/classes.html to register.
