No Security at Venice Pier Parking Lot Security Issue

It seems to me that the parking lot at the Venice Pier has zero security now that it is automated. After the two murders down the street one would think there would be a patrol car or at least a security car protecting the area.  There are no lights in the parking lot and the pay station is dimly lit. Now anyone can access the parking lot, it is extremely unsafe and something should be done to correct this immediately!
