Playa Vista Farmers' Market

Why: Come out to the Playa Vista Farmers' Market. The market will be showcasing the freshest fruits, vegetables and flowers direct from the best local farmers California has to offer as well as other traditional market fare. This is a Certified Farmers' Market sponsored by Sprouts of Promise Foundation, a 501(c) 3 non-profit focused on the education of healthy eating habits.  Visit www.playavistaFM.com for more information.

Why: Meet the officer of the Los Angeles Police Department's Pacific Division at this community open house. There will be a $5 pancake breakfast, guided tours, games, prizes and more for everyone to enjoy.

Price: Free, $5 for pancake breakfast.

In the Flow Art Exhibit

When: Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Where: 4047 Lincoln Blvd, Marina Del Rey, CA 90292

Why: This is the last weekend of the "In the Flow" art exhibit at The Happening Gallery. Check out the artwork by gallery owner Natalie Gray and a whole roster of international and domestic artists, including: Ute Hillenbrand, Matthew Garber, Maureen J Haldeman, William Reynolds Green, Marie-Pierre Philippe Lohezic, Nancy Lawrence, Loraine Veeck, Pat Salmons, Ugo Nonis, BERKO, Linzi Lynn, Walt Jones, Ivan Searcy and Maya Green.

Why: The bookstor is holding a fundraiser for Kids in the Spotlight, a nonprofit program that trains kids in foster care and other underserved youths to create, write, cast and star in their own short films. A percentage of sales all day will go to Kids in the Spotlight. There also will be screenings of the shorts produced by these young filmmakers at the store.

Why: Listen to the reggae sounds of Upstream at this free outdoor concert in Marina del Rey's Fisherman's Village. Parking is validated with purchase.

Salt Marsh and Dunes Tours

When: Sunday, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: Ballona Wetlands, 303 Culver Blvd, Playa Del Rey, CA 90293

Why: Learn about our coastal ecosystem and explore the wonders of nature right in the middle of urban Los Angeles.

Price: Free.

Fisherman's Village Weekend Concert

When: Sunday, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: , 13755 Fiji Way, Marina Del Rey, CA 90292 (Plaza)

Why: Enjoy the smooth jazz of Azzl in a pleasant outdoor setting at the marina.

Price: Free.

Jazz Sunday at Brennan's Pub

When: Sunday, 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Where: 4089 Lincoln Blvd, Marina Del Rey, CA 90292

Why: Check out the No Static Trio + at this bar that was recently named one of the best bars in the country by Esquire magazine.
