Hop to Easter Brunch in Marina del Rey

Looking for a place to celebrate Easter with great food and atmosphere? Here are a few brunch recommendations in Marina del Rey.

Marina del Rey Patch has collected this handy list of Easter brunch happenings this Sunday.

1. Vū Restaurant located at the Jamaica Bay Inn has a special Easter brunch with an adventurous menu from executive chef Kyle Schutte. The offerings include: a first course that includes compressed fruit with honey yogurt foam; the house eggs benedict entree with homemade biscuits and black forest ham and a dessert round that features buttermilk panna cotta topped off with liquid nitrogen coke-a-cola and carbonated blackberries.

The brunch includes free-flowing sparkling wine and mimosas and a gorgeous view of Mother's Beach and the marina. Stop in Sunday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the special three-course menu at $38 per person. Go right here for the full Easter menu.

2. Cafe Del Rey on Admiralty Way and their new executive chef Daniel Roberts, formerly of Asia de Cuba at the Mondrian and Baleen at the Portofino Yacht Club in Redondo Beach, are offering up a three-course prix-fixe Easter brunch that includes a live jazz trio led by Los Angeles-based guitarist Juan Carlos Quintero of Colombia. The special menu includes Dungeness crab cake with kataifi. Brunch includes bottomless sparkling wine, mimosas or cider. Brunch will be served from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at $38 per person.

3. The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey is hosting a special Easter brunch that includes a children's buffet for youngsters up to 12 years old and an Easter Egg Hunt at 12:30 p.m. for hotel guests and the brunch crowd. Brunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at $95 per adult and $45 for the children's buffet. Reservations required.

4. Horn Blower Cruises and Events has a special two-hour Easter champagne brunch cruise that includes a brunch buffet, live entertainment and photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny. Boarding starts at 11:30 a.m. at Fisherman's Village and the cruise runs from noon to 2 p.m. The price is $69.95 per person with discounts for seniors and children. Go here to make a reservation

5. Shanghai Red's is holding an Easter brunch with made-to-order omelettes, fresh seafood, carving stations and tasty desserts. The brunch runs from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and is $39.95 for adults and $15.95 for children per person. Reservations are accepted.
