Marina del Rey Farmers' Market Opens with 25 Vendors
Vendors offering organic produce, flowers, honey and more are expected at Thursday's new farmers market.
It is one day and counting until the opening of the Marina del Rey Farmers' Market, and there will be an array of local farmers and vendors to choose from.
This year, 25 vendors and growers are expected to participate, according to Catrina Love, senior market analyst for the Los Angeles County Department of Beaches and Harbors. A partial list of the growers includes: Fair Hills Farms, Denny's Organic Farms, Gama Farms, Gaytan Farms, Scott Farms, Jonas Bees, Skyline Flowers, Salem Ranch, Ruby Farms, Avila and Sons, Maust's California Poultry and Novy Ranches.
Ruben's Nuts, Me Gusta Gourmet Tamales, Diana's Bakery and Flor de Lima are among the vendors signed up to participate.

The farmer's market is scheduled to open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at Mother's Beach, 4101 Admiralty Way, as part of "Tasty Thursdays," according to Bev Moore, executive director of the Marina del Rey Convention and Visitors Bureau.
"Beach Eats," which takes place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m, are also part of the weekly event.
