I've lived through the 1971 and the Northridge quakes, I was in Northridge for both of them....these "experts" don't know any more than the rest of us do....

earthquakes are nothing when compared to hurricanes, the scary part is that quakes strike without warning and are invisible

Geologically speaking, 100 years and 1,000 years are essentially the same thing. The "experts" use statistics to come up with these pronouncements but it's guesswork at best...
