Viewfinder: Wandering the Wetlands

This week's Viewfinder takes a look at the scenic views of Ballona Wetlands in Playa Del Rey.

This week, our Viewfinder gallery features the Ballona Wetlands in Playa del Rey.

Wetlands are vital to the ecosystem, providing habitats for many species, incuding rare and endangered ones, and are necessary for maintaining water quality, air quality and flood control, according to the conservation group Friends of Ballona Wetlands. Share any photos you have of the wetlands.

The Ballona Wetlands is one of the last remaining wetlands in the Los Angeles basin. Over the next few weeks, we will feature images of the wetlands and the surrounding areas affected by them. Stay tuned for next week's look at wetlands wildlife.
