Dust off your best fedora and stroll past vintage cars and classic yachts at the 36th annual Old Fashioned Day in the Park in Marina del Rey.
Yachts from the 1920s as well as classic cars such as Model A’s, Thunderbirds and woodies will be on display on July 22 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Burton Chace Park.
A 105-foot, 1929 fantail yacht built for J. Paul Getty will be featured at this year’s festival. The yacht was recently used on the set of Liz and Dick, a made-for-television movie being filmed in Marina del Rey in which actress Lindsay Lohan portrays screen legend Elizabeth Taylor.
“We love to share our passion for these American treasures,” said Christine Rohde, chair of this event, in a statement. Rohde’s 1950 Chris Craft Catalina will be one of the boats on display.
The event is sponsored by the Los Angeles County Beaches and Harbors Department and the Classic Yacht Association, founded in 1970 in Long Beach.
