SARAH MACLAY’s Music for the Black Room debuts tonight in the room for which the book is named. She is joined by SAM TAYLOR and STEPHANY PRODROMIDES. Jazz trio RATS will perform. Chocolate truffles for all.
SARAH MACLAY is the author of Whore (Tampa Review Prize for Poetry) and The White Bride. Her poems have appeared in APR, Field, Ploughshares, Verse Daily and The Best American Erotic Poems: 1800 to the Present.
SAM TAYLOR is the author of the acclaimed poetry collection Body of the World (Copper Canyon Press). His poems, ranging from the mystical to the political, have been published in such magazines as The New Republic, Orion, AGNI, The Hudson Review, and Poetry Daily.
STEPHANY PRODROMIDES’ poems have appeared in journals such as Drunken Boat, The Laurel Review, and sou’wester; her book reviews have appeared in Poetry International, and her chapbook manuscript Fishnet was a finalist for the 2008 Center for Book Arts and DIAGRAM competitions.
