Free Concert Series in Marina del Rey Continues Thursday

The Marina del Rey Summer Symphony will continue the popular Marina del Rey Free Summer Concert Series Thursday evening with a performance entitled "Imaginary Places."

The performance will feature Roberto Cani on the violin and will feature compositions inspired by real and imagined places, organizers said.

Pieces will include Max Bruch's "Scottish Fantasy," Antonin Dvorak's "Carnival Overture and Richard Strauss's "Don Juan."

The concert, which begins at 7 p.m. in Burton Chace Park, is free and open to the public.

Burton Chase Park is located at 13650 Mindanao Way, Marina del Rey. Parking for concerts is available in county parking lots 4, 5 and 6 for a fee.

Both the Marina del Rey WaterBus and the Beach Shuttle will also run during concerts with stops at Burton Chase Park.
