Glowing Interactive Art Experience Heading To Playa Del Rey
Nite-Write will include digital drawings and luminescent paint at Dockweiler State Beach.

Watch a black-light painting demonstration, project iPad drawings onto the world or help inspire a mural, all at the upcoming Nite-Write event at Dockweiler State Beach, May 26.
From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., the free multimedia art experience will light up Parking Lot 2, 12000 Vista del Mar in Playa Del Rey.

Some of the scheduled events include a live, ultraviolet painting demonstration by visual artist Black Light King, as well as interactive digital artwork by P&tAGB, a group of artist-performers.

Attendees will have also the chance to paint the side of the Mobile Mural Lab truck –owned by one of the co-sponsors of the event – and see their iPad drawings digitally projected across the landscape.
Visual artist Faith Purvey will listen to attendees’ stories and collect them to use as inspiration for a final mural, which will be painted on the nearby concession stand building.
The event is co-sponsored by the Mobile Mural Lab, the L.A. County Department of Beaches and Harbors and the L.A. County Arts Commission’s Civic Art Program.
Other Nite-Writes are scheduled for June 23 and Sept 29 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
