Celebrate National Pancake Day: IHOP Offering Free Stacks of Pancakes

Taking advantage of the celebration today? Let us know!

It's a good day for pancake lovers.

IHOP today is celebrating the annual acknowledgment of National Pancake Day, and anyone interesting in taking part can savor the sweetness of free flapjacks.

Customers who visit IHOP until 10 p.m. today, Feb. 5, can enjoy a free short stack of Buttermilk pancakes in exchange for leaving a donation to the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals or another local charity.

The day began in 2006, and since then IHOP has raised more than $10 million to support various charities in the communities in which it operates. Last year, IHOP raised more than $3 million for the various charities, according to ABC News.

What's more, National Pancake Day in 2012 was the single largest one-day event in IHOP’s 54-year history, according to BostonInno.

More details on National Pancake Day can be found here, and be sure to find the nearest IHOP location to you to take advantage.

The IHOP in Marina del Rey is located on 4070 Lincoln Blvd.

So, tell us: What is your favorite style of pancake? Will you be taking advantage of a free stack today? Let us know in the comments section below.
