Celebrate National Pancake Day: IHOP Offering Free Stacks of Pancakes

It's a good day for pancake lovers. 

IHOP today is celebrating the annual acknowledgment of National Pancake Day, and anyone interesting in taking part can savor the sweetness of free flapjacks.

Customers who visit IHOP until 10 p.m. today, Feb. 5, can enjoy a free short stack of Buttermilk pancakes in exchange for leaving a donation to the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals or another local charity.

The day began in 2006, and since then IHOP has raised more than $10 million to support various charities in the communities in which it operates. Last year, IHOP raised more than $3 million for the various charities, according to ABC News.   

What's more, National Pancake Day in 2012 was the single largest one-day event in IHOP’s 54-year history, according to BostonInno.
