A major employer at Los Angeles International Airport will hold an invite-only job fair next week to fill more than 280 food service job openings, some in the new Tom Bradley International Terminal.

Job seekers have until Thursday to submit applications to secure an interview at the fair, which runs July 20-27.

Positions to be filled by HMS Host, an LAX restaurant operator, include fast-food attendant or cashier, barista, bartender, expeditor, cook, host or hostess, shift supervisor, utility or cleaner, runner and warehouse.

Applicants are being asked to submit resumes to two websites, the airport's site (http://www.lawa.org/bjrc), which begins the screening process, and HMS Host's site at (http://www.hmshost.com). To get to HMS Host's job listings, go to the "Careers" section, click "U.S. Hourly Positions," and search by location.

Job seekers can call (424) 646-7300 with questions about the process.
