Local Chamber of Commerce Gears Up for ChamberFest

LAX Coastal Area Chamber of Commerce hosts Thursday's event.

This week marks the annual "ChamberFest" hosted by the .

The event focuses on highlighting local businesses and generally attracts more than thousands of people, said Rachel-Ann Levy, the chamber's director of communications and operations.

"This indoor/outdoor business expo, which attracts over 1,500 community members annually, is a tremendous opportunity for our Chamber members to expose themselves to the public, make connections with their peers and introduce themselves to their neighbors and the local residential community," Levy said. "In its sixth year at the Playa Vista CenterPointe, ChamberFest continues to grow in size, reputation and outreach."

More than 80 local businesses are slated to participate, and one of the most popular attractions, the food tastings, will feature a variety of local restaurants including, Chalet Edelweiss, Fresh Brothers Pizza, The Game Sports Bar & Grill, Rainbow Acres Natural Foods and Tony P’s Dockside Grill.

"It is a spectacular event that truly encourages our community to shop Chamber, shop local," Levy said.

There is a charge for the food vendors, but general admission to the event is free.
