The Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center at 13325 Beach Avenue in Marina del Rey has changed my life! I value the classical approach, and the breadth and purity of the teachings. In addition to a full regular schedule of asana classes, they offer a wide variety of courses to support a yogic lifestyle—philosophy, meditation, cooking, even environmental awareness—plus many free events. It is a vibrant Yoga center fostering true community.

I started my yoga practice at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center in Venice years ago, and now the location at 13325 Beach Avenue is my new home. It's hands down the best yoga center in the entire L.A. area, the staff is dedicated, patient, knowledgeable, and all volunteer! I drive from Reseda to attend classes there... it's that good!

As a yoga enthusiast I have tried and enjoy a wide variety of yoga styles and studios. The basis of my practice, however, is the classical Hatha class offered at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center. It is a complete, meditative class that gives one an excellent foundational knowledge which can be applied to other yoga styles, movement styles and, as you go deeper into the practice, all aspects of life. As a non-profit it is also less expensive since all instructors and staff donate their time. The center is involved with many charitable community outreach projects making it a wonderful studio to support for the health and wellness of the neighbourhood.

I nominate Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center at 13325 Beach Avenue, Marina Del Rey. The free monthly open house gave me to the opportunity to gain in-depth understanding what the center is all about. The center offers different types of yoga practice and components for each individual needs. I was especially drawn to its spiritual and the intellectually components of the center and have became a member since. Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center and yoga has become an important part of my daily life. Its contribution to the community is invaluable and priceless.
