Wrap Yourself in Luxury at Ritz Carlton Marina del Rey

Having guests visit from out of town? Below are a few deals from the Ritz.

A Ritz Carlton experience will change the way you look at hotels. From the minute you pull into the valet at Ritz Carlton Marina del Rey, the personalized attention begins.

If you are going to splurge on an upscale getaway, try staying at least one night at one of the 41 Club level rooms.

Staying on the 11th or 12th Club level means being treated to four food and beverage presentations: breakfast, lunch, hors d'oeuvres and cocktails, and cordials (desserts, and more cocktails). And we're not talking finger foods, expect seared Ahi over rice, gourmet cheeses and olives, topped off with some tiramisu—just to name a few offerings. A key is required to get to the 11th and 12th floors, and guests not staying on that floor can join you for $50 per person.

No matter where you stay in the 304-room hotel, you'll be treated to a large room, with a bed that feels like you are sleeping on a cloud, and a private balcony that has partials views of the marina and ocean. In each bathroom you'll find Bvlgari products.

The Ritz Carlton Marina del Rey has a great fitness center with separate ladies’ and gentlemen’s locker areas, each featuring a eucalyptus steam room. After a sweat session grab a lounge chair around the 3,200-square-foot heated outdoor pool and whirlpool. Both using only pure, natural salt from the ocean.

If you are feeling extra energetic, rent a bike from the concierge to ride along the marina or take a relaxing walk. Ask dusk settles, unwind out on the patio under the palms and torches—and try to snag one of the tables near the cozy fire pit.

"The Ritz Carlton Marina del Rey is offering the following specials: " - - - "Starting at $319 USD per night ... " - - - "Starting at $679 USD per night ... " Wow, such a DEAL ! Give me a break -- If those are "Special" prices, I wonder about their "Normal" room rates. "One complimentary night — stay four nights, pay for three" Yikes, doing the Math: 3 nights @ $679 per night = $2,037. { and that doesn't even include (hotel) room taxes or sale tax. } OK, let's use our FREE night ==> that's still nearly $510 bucks a night ! Who it their right mind can afford that ? . . . Oh yeah, some travelling businessman on an expense account, . . . or a millionaire CEO who just flew in to LAX on his own private jet plane. . . . I don't begrudge a movie Star on a Promo tour, touting his or her latest film, . . . who must be protected from those crazy paparazzi.
