Cloudy Afternoons, L.A. County Bike Plan Vote Delayed and Blog for Patch

The National Weather Service says we can expect cloudy afternoons and a wet weekend.

Today is Nov. 17. It is the 321st day of the year. We are under a waning gibbous moon. Sunset will occur about 4:49 p.m. Here are five things to know:

1. The National Weather Service forecast for this afternoon calls for sunny skies with a high near 64 degrees with increasing clouds tonight and an overnight low around 53 degrees. Forecasters expect mostly cloudy skies Friday with a high near 61 degrees. There's a chance of drizzle and rain throughout the weekend.

2. The Los Angeles County Regional Planning Commission has postponed voting on the L.A. County Master Bike Plan. You can learn more about the plan right here.

3. Los Angeles City Councilman Bill Rosendahl was the keynote speaker Thursday morning at a Thanksgiving brunch honoring veterans at Burton Chace Park in Marina del Rey.

4. Do you have an event coming up that you'd like to promote on Patch? If so, we have a video tutorial to help get your events on Marina del Rey Patch - for free. Details right here.
