Free Beach Shuttle Kicks Off Memorial Day Weekend

As the Memorial Day holiday kicks off this weekend, so does the free beach shuttle.

The shuttle will be open for business beginning this Friday. It will operate from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays and holidays.

The stops include areas of Playa Vista through the Marina, including Fisherman's Village and different points along Admiralty Way, according to Marisol Chavez of the Los Angeles County Department of Beaches and Harbor. The shuttles also have bike racks and are wheelchair accessible.

During the summer, the last shuttle is scheduled to leave Playa Vista at 7:15 p.m. on holidays and Sundays and at 9:15 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

The Beach Shuttle will also connect to the Marina del Rey Water Bus beginning in June.
