Gas Prices Continue to Drop

Average falls to just over $4 a gallon.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County decreased on Saturday for the 25th consecutive day, falling 3.3 cents to $4.059.

The average price has decreased for 64.6 cents over the past 25 days, including 3.3 cents on Friday, after rising 50.4 cents over the previous seven days and reaching a record high of $4.705, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

On Saturday, the most inexpensive gallon of gas in Marina del Rey cost $$3.89 for regular at United Oil, located at 811 Washington Blvd, according to gas buddy.

The average price is 21 cents less than it was one week ago and 20 cents lower than one month ago but 19 cents higher than one year ago.
