Marina del Rey Residents Urged to Conserve Water

Next week, crews will install a new water pipeline and officials are asking residents to minimize their water use.

Residents in Marina del Rey are being asked to conserve water on Tuesday and Wednesday as crews upgrade a water pipeline.

The work started on Jan. 16 on Venice and Sawtelle boulevards, and is expected to last until the end of February. Although water service will not be disrupted at any time during construction, customers are encouraged to be conservative with their water use during two 30-hour periods, from Tuesday starting at 5 a.m. to Wednesday at 11 a.m., and during a yet-to-be-announced date at the end of February.

Once the project is completed, residents in Marina del Rey should notice a significant upgrade in water pressure, particularly during the summer months, according to the Public Works Department.
