New Deli Opens Up in Playa del Rey

The Del Rey Deli Co. started serving customers on Monday.

A new deli opened on Monday in Playa del Rey that serves fresh salads and Italian-style sandwiches.

Owner Tim Edwards and his wife Corrina decided to open the Del Rey Deli Co., located at 8501 Pershing Dr., because they wanted to “create a good solid neighborhood deli” for people to gather.

Before opening Del Rey Deli Co., the Edwards’ worked for a photography lab in Torrance, but after being laid off about a year ago, Tim Edwards decided to return to school and earn a degree in restaurant management form Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts.

“I’ve been living in Playa del Rey for 13 years and I’ve noticed that there aren’t many food options,” he said.

Menu items include a Caprese sandwhich, with mozzarella, basil pesto, tomato, balsamic vinegar and olive oil and “The DR Muffaletta,” a meat-lovers delight that consists of olive spread, capocollo, mortadella, salame, pepperoni, ham, swiss and provole on ciabatta bread.

Customers can pick from three different bread styles for most of the sandwiches (except for the DR Muffaletta which is pre-made) – a deli roll, ciabatta or sourdough.

The deli is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Edwards plans to open for breakfast in about a month.

Thank Glenn E. Grab for taking the time to send an answer. I agree with you, it would be blue IRead More think. I would like to hear from someone who has the same problem, there are hundreds of boats with this spray. Now having said this, we have now come up with a more rational reason. It's the pollen, not bee pollen, but tree pollen. Makes sense as it does only happen once a year. Searching for answers, this makes a little better sense.
