Police Investigate Inert Grenades Found in Del Rey

Police have responded to the 4300 block of Purdue Avenue in the Del Rey area of Los Angeles near Culver City on a report of a suspicious item, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. A bomb squad has not been requested, police say.

Several streets have been closed in the area, including Washington Boulevard, near the Department of Motor Vehicles office.

Police are checking into three, they say it was inert grenades that were possibly found in the backyard of a residence, according to Richard French of the LAPD's Media Relations Department.
