Registration is Open for This Year's "ChamberFest"

The LAX Coastal Area Chamber of Commerce wants to help local businesses shine at its upcoming "ChamberFest."

Registration is now open for the annual event which is scheduled to take place on Thursday, June 6. Christina Davis, president and CEO of the LAX Coastal Area Chamber of Commerce, said not only does the event provide an opportunity for business owners to sell their products, but it is also an important service for those who live in the area.

"I think that it's important the community knows who's in their back yard," Davis said.

The event, similar to previous years, will feature music, entertainment, business and food vendors and representatives from local neighborhood councils as well as face painting for the kids.

About 2,000 people are expected to attend. There were between 60 and 100 participating vendors at last year's event, according to Davis. The fees for vendor booths start at $195.

The event will take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, at the Playa Vista Centerpointe Club. To register, or to find out more information, call (310)645-5151, or visit the LAX Coastal Area Chamber of Commerce online.
