Report: Mark Gold of Heal the Bay Resigns

He has accepted a position as associate director of UCLA's Institute of the Environment and Sustainability.

Mark Gold, the president of the Santa Monica-based environmental group Heal the Bay, has announced his resignation, according to a report in Malibu Patch.

A notice on Heal the Bay's website said Gold has accepted a position as associate director of UCLA's Institute of the Environment and Sustainability and will begin the new job Jan. 30.

Gold was the executive director of Heal the Bay from 1994 to 2006.
