Sunny Afternoon, Bank Fraud and Bloggers Wanted

The National Weather Service forecast calls for a sunny afternoon today and tomorrow, too.

Today is May 24. It is the 144th day of the year. We are under a third quarter moon. Sunset will occur about 7:56 p.m. Here are five things to know:

1. The National Weather Service forecast for this afternoon calls for sunny skies with a high near 63 degrees with patchy fog after 11 p.m. with an overnight low around 55 degrees. Forecasters expect patchy fog before 11 a.m. Wednesday with gradual clearing in the afternoon and a high near 65 degrees.

2. A former Marina del Rey man has been sentenced to nearly two years in prison for bank fraud. More details right here.
