Sunny Afternoon, Beach Permits and Water Quality

Heal the Bay is releasing is 21st annual Beach Report Card today scoring the water quality of 92 beaches in Los Angeles County.

Today is May 25. It is the 145th day of the year. We are under a third quarter moon. Sunset will occur about 7:57 p.m. Here are five things to know:

1. The National Weather Service forecast for today calls for sunny skies with a high near 64 degrees with patchy fog after 11 p.m. and an overnight low around 56 degrees. Forecasters expect patchy fog Thursday morning before gradually clearing to become sunny with a high near 67 degrees.

2. The Los Angeles County Beach Commission is meeting this morning to consider a new permit process for beach camps and recreational activities. Check back here in a bit for more details.

3. Heal the Bay is releasing its annual Beach Report Card today scoring the water quality of 92 beaches in Los Angeles County. Check back here this afternoon to find out how your local or favorite beach fared.
