Cloudy Afternoon, Clinton's Backing and Blog for Us

President Clinton has announced his support for Los Angeles City Councilwoman Janice Hahn in the July 12 runoff election to fill a vacant seat in Congress.

Today is June 14. It is the 165th day of the year. We are under a waxing gibbous moon. Sunset will occur about 8:07 p.m. Here are five things to know:

1. The National Weather Service forecast for this afternoon calls for patchy fog with partly sunny skies and a high near 68 degrees with patchy fog after 11 p.m. and an overnight low around 60 degrees. Forecasters expect patchy fog Wednesday morning that will gradually give way to a sunny afternoon and a high near 69 degrees.

2. President Clinton has endorsed Los Angeles City Councilwoman Janice Hahn, a Democrat, in her bid to fill a vacant seat in the 36th Congressional District. Hahn faces Torrance businessman Craig Huey, a Republican who has been running as a tea party candidate. More details right here.
