Sunny Afternoon, Fish Warning and Blog on Patch

The National Weather Service forecast for this afternoon calls for sunny skies and a high near 67 degrees with patchy fog late tonight.

1. The National Weather Service forecast for this afternoon calls for mostly sunny skies with a high near 67 degrees with patchy fog tonight after 11 p.m. and an overnight low around 52 degrees. Forecasters expect patchy fog Thursday morning that will gradually burn off for a sunny afternoon with a high around 69 degrees.

2. The Fish Contamination Education Collaborative has partnered with city and county agencies to post new fish advisory signs at 24 popular shore fishing locations throughout Los Angeles County warning people about five types of fish to avoid. The signs have gone up in Marina del Rey and Dockweiler State Beach. Learn more about it right here.

3. The Del Rey Neighborhood Council's Land Use and Planning Committee meets tonight at 7 at the Venice Japanese Community Center. The agenda includes a motion opposing commercial signs in city parks; a motion supporting a preliminary beer and wine permit at a currently vacant space at 13480 Maxella Avenue and a motion opposing a 28-unit apartment building in the 11900 block of Courtleigh Drive.
