Sunny Afternoons, Focusing on Pacific Avenue and Halibut Biting

The National Weather Service has issued an advisory for strong rip currents today, so be careful beachgoers.

Today is Nov. 7. It is the 311th day of the year. We are under a waxing gibbous moon. Sunset will occur about 4:56 p.m. Here are five things to know:

1. The National Weather Service forecast for this afternoon calls for sunny skies with a high near 66 degrees with clear skies tonight and an overnight low around 48 degrees. The NWS is warning beachgoers of strong rip currents today. Forecasters expect a sunny Tuesday with a high near 69 degrees.
