Sunny Afternoons, Postal Changes and Blog for Patch

The National Weather Service forecast calls for patchy fog in the mornings and sunshine in the afternoons.

Today is July 27. It is the 208th day of the year. We are under a waning crescent moon. Sunset will occur about 8 p.m. Here are five things to know:

1. The National Weather Service forecast for this afternoon calls for sunny skies with a high near 70 degrees with patchy fog after 11 p.m. and an overnight low around 64 degrees. Forecasters expect patchy fog Thursday morning and a sunny afternoon with a high temperature near 70 degrees.

2. The U.S. Postal Service has released a list of 3,700 retail post offices that could be closed due to the shifting habits of customers and the Alla Vista Station in Del Rey is on the list. More details right here.
