Sunny Afternoons, Remembering 9/11 and Mayor's Town Hall

Antonio Villaraigosa will field questions from residents, business owners and community stakeholders at a meeting tonight.

Today is Sept. 12. It is the 255th day of the year. We are under a full moon. Sunset will occur about 7:06 p.m. Here are five things to know:

1. The National Weather Service forecast for this afternoon calls for sunny skies with a high near 72 degrees with patchy fog after 11 p.m. and an overnight low around 58 degrees. Forecasters expect patchy fog Tuesday morning with a sunny afternoon and high around 71 degrees.

3. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa is holding a Westside Town Hall tonight to field questions from residents, business owners and other stakeholders on a variety of local issues. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. and the mayor's presentation will run from 7 to 8:15 p.m. and will be held at 11338 Santa Monica Blvd. in West Los Angeles.

4. The St. Bernard High School football team has its first winning streak under new coach Larry Munco. The to start the season 2-0.
