Sunny Skies, Traffic 'Nightmare' and Hahn's Ad

The National Weather Service predicts sunny afternoons today and Wednesday.

Today is June 7. It is the 158th day of the year. We are under a waxing crescent moon. Sunset will occur about 8:04 p.m. Here are five things to know:

1. The National Weather Service forecast for today calls for sunny skies with a high near 66 degrees with patchy fog after 11 p.m. and an overnight low around 57 degrees. Forecasters expect patchy fog Wednesday morning that will gradually clear to sunny with a high near 65 degrees.

2. City and county representatives joined transportation and public safety officials Monday to warn motorists about the 10-mile, 53-hour closure of the 405 freeway in mid-July. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa said it's going to "be an absolute nightmare" and urged motorists to stay away from the area over the July 16-17 weekend. More details right here.
