Sunny Sunday, Lakers Tonight and Follow Us

The National Weather Service says it will be sunny this afternoon and tomorrow, too.

Today is April 10. It is the 100th day of the year. We are under a waxing crescent moon. Sunset will occur about 7:22 p.m. Here are five things to know:

1. The National Weather Service forecast for this afternoon calls for sunny skies with a high near 63 degrees with partly cloudy skies tonight and an overnight low around 50 degrees. It should be mostly sunny Monday with a high near 64 degrees.

2. Playa del Rey resident Phil Jackson and the two-time defending champion Los Angeles Lakers are hosting the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight at Staples Center. The Lakers have lost four straight and there are only three games left in the regular season. Tipoff is at 6:30 p.m.
