Wet Weather Looming, Turkey Recipes and Blog for Patch

The National Weather Service forecast says we can expect mostly sunny skies Saturday, but rain is expected Sunday.

Today is Nov. 18. It is the 322nd day of the year. We are under a third quarter moon. Sunset will occur about 4:49 p.m. Here are five things to know:

1. The National Weather Service forecast for this afternoon calls for mostly cloudy skies with a high near 64 degrees with a chance of drizzle after 10 p.m. and an overnight low around 51 degrees. Forecasters expect mostly sunny skies Saturday with a high near 62 degrees. There's a 20 percent chance of showers Saturday night and rain is likely Sunday.

3. Playa del Rey residents Kevin and Anna May Cronin were recently honored for their work to raise funds to advance Loyola Marymount University's educational mission. The longtime friends of LMU attend weekly Mass at the Sacred Heart Chapel on campus and have been annual Presidential Donors since 1999. They were among five Presidential Donors recognized by LMU President David W. Burcham.
