What Time Was the World Supposed to End?

The Mayan calendar predicts the "end" to come today, but at what time? Here's the answer, which may surprise you.

If you're hoping for something eventful to happen to mark the end of the world, as foretold by the Mayan calendar, you may have already missed it.

The end of the world was supposed to happen on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at 11:11 UTC, which is 3:11 a.m. P.S.T.
