What is "Day for Kids"?

It’s taking 5 of your buddies and competing in a series of “childhood activity obstacles” such as the "ridiculous relay", Minute to Win It, dodge ball, and much more!  One team consists of 5 adults and 5 kids from selected Boys & Girls Clubs. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place team winners will receive medals at the awards ceremony.

This event brings attention to the critical issues facing today’s youth and highlight the vital role that positive childhood experiences, such as fun, play, feeling safe and positive adult role models, play in a child’s life and development.

The race begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 14, in Central Park at Playa Vista.

How do I register?

Registration is only done online and the best part is that it’s FREE! The team captain will submit all of your team information at http://dayforkidslosangeles.eventbrite.com/. A team can be any mix of male/females just as long as each team member is over 18 years old and must consist of 5 teammates (including the captain). The team captain is the main point of contact for event coordinators and the team.

Are there other opportunities to participate?

Yes, we are in need of 50 volunteers to help with set-up, check-in, activity leads, scorekeepers and timekeepers, etc. If you are interested in volunteering, sign up online at http://dayforkidslosangeles.eventbrite.com/ and select your preferred shift.
