CAFE DEL REY CELEBRATES THE HOLIDAY SEASON AND LAUNCHES CAFE del REY’s SEASIDE SUNDAY SUPPERS


Executive Chef Daniel Roberts invites guests to experience Mediterranean-inspired, seasonal specialties at Marina del Rey’s iconic seaside dining destination


Launching Sunday, December 16, 2012, CAFE del REY, the Westside’s premier waterside dining destination, debuts CAFÉ del REY’s Seaside Sunday Suppers, a Sunday-night dinner series from Executive Chef Daniel Roberts. For $45 per person (excluding tax and gratuity), guests can enjoy a seasonal, three-course prix fixe menu showcasing the bounty of fresh ingredients available in Southern California, and the restaurant’s housemade products, including garlic chive and chili-spiced oils. The Mediterranean-inspired menu features items such as Kobocha Squash Bisque with toasted pepitas and diced apples; Pappardelle Pasta with garlic, prosciutto, arugula, white wine, and Castlevetrano olives in a light tomato sauce; as well as holiday favorites like Center Cut Pork Loin with faro, fennel, mustard greens, brandy quince compote, and spiced oil; and sweet endings such as Trio Profiteroles with honey yogurt ice cream, apricot sorbet, and hazelnut chocolate mousse.

Guests can also enjoy a selection of half-priced bottles of wine from CAFE del REY’s standout international collection that focuses on French and Californian varietals, as well as selections from Italy and Argentina.
