Freshwater Marsh Interpretive Tour

A free guided tour of the freshwater marsh, birds and native plants of the Ballona Wetlands will be offered Saturday from 10-11 a.m.


Once a 14,000 acre stretch of wetland that reached from Culver City to Pico Boulevard in Santa Monica, only 72 acres of the Ballona Wetlands survive in Marina del Rey.


The tour begins on south side of Jefferson Boulevard, near Playa del Rey. Park on the south side of Jefferson Boulevard alongside the marsh, just west of Lincoln Boulevard.


Meet at the Freshwater Marsh sign. Please call (310) 306-5994 for directions.
