Red Car Trolley presents "Birds, Buds, and Beatles"

Red Car Trolley kicks off the new year with songs about winged creatures, flowers and covers of an English rock band. Come hear us perform music ranging from the Renaissance and madrigals to pop and rock and even a world-premiere piece!

Red Car Trolley presents music spanning five centuries in a concert entitled m"Birds, Buds, and Beatles" which showcases the group's versatility and joyful love of music-making.  The program includes music ranging from familiar classic composers like Brahms and Mozart to more contemporary songwriters such as Simon and McCartney.  Also included is the World Premiere of “Song of The Flower” written by LA-based composer William Malpede and inspired by the poetry of Kahlil Gibran.  Guest Organist Barbara Trevino joins RCT for the performance.

Red Car Trolley is a Los-Angeles-based vocal quartet that performs a wide range of music; from Renaissance to jazz, from classical to contemporary.  The ensemble’s credits include soloist and ensemble work at Los Angeles area studio recordings and television, churches and synagogues, opera, musical theatre,.  They also sing for weddings, memorials, fundraisers, and concerts, but most of all, they sing for the sheer pleasure of it.  They are: Soprano - Rebecca Rasmussen, Alto - Jennifer Appleberry, Tenor - Brian Dyer, Bass - Norge Yip.
