Join us for a screening of one of the best films you've never seen. Close-Up, director Abbas Kiarostami’s docudrama about life in 1990s Iran, has been regarded by many as a modern masterpiece. Named One of Sight and Sound's Top 50 Films of All-Times, Stephen Holden from the New York Times calls it "Brilliant...radically drab cinema-verite style that helps blur any difference between what is real and what is reconstructed."
After the screening, a discussion of the film and its themes will take place with film journalist Dorna Khazeni and Vogue film critic and NPR Fresh Air contributor John Powers.
Doors will open at 6:45PM.
