Move2Safety To Host Active Shooter Response Seminar in Culver City

WHAT: On the anniversary of the Newtown shootings, Angelenos will be empowered to take safety into their own hands. The safety organization Move2Safety will host an Active Shooter Response Foundation Seminar in Culver City, CA, led by former Navy SEALs. The curriculum for this “fire drill of the 21st century,” was designed using SEAL evasion and response tactics and has been all the more necessary due to the influx of recent attacks.

Move2Safety’s Foundation Seminar teaches people how to safely escape active shootings and empowers them to be self-reliant in emergency situations.  Along with a team of expert instructors, Co-founders Matthew Maasdam and Rorke Denver will introduce attendees to critical skills such as situational awareness, understanding exits, identifying threats, proper movement, medical self-assessment and more.

Founded in 2008, Move2Safety teaches people basic emergency response skills to safely escape workplace and school shootings. The classes address a difficult yet necessary subject with practical knowledge, simulation exercises and psychological response education.
