California Coastal Cleanup Day

Heal the Beach presents the California Coastal Cleanup Day with volunteers from all over Los Angeles, who will take action to clean the beaches and inland waterways of unsightly and harmful debris. Coastal Cleanup Day (CCD) is an international event with over 90 countries around the world participating, making it one of the largest volunteer efforts on the planet. Everyone can make a difference and keep the coast clean.

Go here for the list of all the clean up sites.

For Marina Del Rey residents, you can volunteer at the Dockweiler Beach or the Ballona Wetlands Restoration Project, which is an inland site. Nearby beaches are Venice beach and Santa Monica beach. Nearby inland site is the Culver City Ballona Creek.
