Lorna Jane, New Athletic Store

Lorna Jane, a women's athletic store just opened its second store in the U.S. in Marina del Rey last month. (They opened their first store in the U.S. in Malibu). The store was founded by Lorna Jane Clarkson who is Australian and has many other Lorna Jane stores in Australia.

I happened to be in the area a few weeks ago when Lorna Jane opened in Marina del Rey. I saw some signs posted in the direction of the store, and curiosity got the better of me and I found myself at Lorna Jane (situated in between Starbucks and Mendocino Farms) in the shopping center on Admiralty Way. I was greeted by a very friendly salesperson who was Australian and told me all about the store and showed me around. They were having a drawing and I entered it just for the heck of it for a $500 dollar gift certificate to the store.

The salesperson went on to tell me that Lorna Jane designs clothes for ahtletic wear, yoga and outdoor activities. She went onto say that Lorna Jane had designed some of the women's tennis outfits for this year's Australian Open.

If one is looking for trendy athletic wear and a nice and friendly atmosphere to go to when one enters the store, then Lorna Jane is a nice play to visit.
