L.A. City Councilman Rosendahl Reflects on Harvey Milk's Legacy

Los Angeles City Councilman Bill Rosendahl has released a video reflecting on the legacy of the late Harvey Milk, the first openly gay public official in California.

Harvey Milk, the first openly gay public official in California, was born May 22, 1930, and became a martyr for the cause of gay rights upon his assassination in November 1978.

Los Angeles City Councilman Bill Rosendahl, the first openly gay man elected to the Los Angeles City Council, reflected Tuesday on Milk's life and legacy in this video. Rosendahl's 11th District includes Venice, Mar Vista, Del Rey, Playa del Rey, Brentwood and Pacific Palisades.

Actually, Bob, there are many who have spoken on behalf of the unhoused in this PATCH forum...the fight for the dignity and rights of the disenfranchised among us and against greed, mean-spiritedness and insanity would go on in my absence...but, I appreciate your kind words and if I have been able to help, I'm glad to know it.

Thank you Spirit of Venice for supporting us Homeless here in Venice Beach. Everytime I get out of jail, finding housing is impossiable, no one will rent a room to a pedifile and everytime I have to make it know where I am living. Venice is the right fit for us we just feel more free. Again, many thanks to all our supporters.

Proverbs 29:9 "If a wise man disputes with a foolish man, whether he rages or laughs, there is no rest." - These are worthwhile words to remember for any of us who find ourselves tempted to argue with comments which we know are made by irrational, hateful and pointlessly antagonistic posters to this forum. - Jerry Sandusky also-known-as Reality In Venice also-known-as Homeless Bob also-known-as The Crow Fly's is - in my opinion - such a person. Look closely and you realize that these comments are being made by someone who is one taco short of a combination plate. - While this comment will no-doubt provoke him to further angry and meaningless postings, I will not waste any more time responding. - Life requires each of us to separate the wheat from the chaff. Not too hard to do in this case. - Let's continue to stop hating and start helping. :-)
