Crime Report Map: Spike in Burglaries During Heat Wave

A map of Marina del Rey crimes that occurred from July 24 to Aug. 13.

There was a spike in burglaries from Aug. 5 to Aug. 11, according to the LAPD. Police say a likely cause of this uptick is the fact that many residents were leaving windows open during the heat wave.
