Update: Person Suffers Minor Injuries in Del Rey Fire

Senior citizen has been taken to the emergency room.

Update 11:55 a.m.

An 85-year-old man in Del Rey suffered minor abrasions to his arm and was taken to the emergency room as a precaution after a one-room fire erupted at his house on 4068 Michael Ave. at about 9:33 a.m., according to LAFD spokesperson David Ortiz.

As of approximately 10 a.m., firefighters had extinguished the blaze. The man is in stable condition. He has two dogs that are safe and currently with neighbors.

Firefighters are still investigating the cause of the blaze.
